excoticism portrayals

We've talked in our class about how Asians and Hispanics were treated in the in films in 70's and 80's. What a lot of us don't know is that in Asia and Latin America, whites are treated in their films and TV shows the same way that Asians and Hispanics are treated in Hollywood movies. It's not because in this countries there is a lot of racism against whites. It's just that in this countries, whites are considered to be the exotics, just like Asians and hispanics are in the U.S in the 70's and 80's
