It's true from our class discusions that the media and the products they sell is intensionally over sexualized. However, in the case of how men magazines is sexualize, perhaps it is a coincidence that men's magazines are what it is now. Men's magazine became oversexualized because they tried to copy Maxim Magazine, which had sales far ahead from other magazines of it's genre. I think that men's magazine would still follow the footsteps of Maxim magazine if it was other than pictures of scantily clothes women that made their magazines sell.

However, I also think that if it wasn't Maxim magazine, it would be other magazines that would pioneer the featuring f sexualized images of women on their pages.
